In meeting Calgary Based Visual Artist, Stacey Walyuchow, in October 2020 there was an instant connection. One could tell that she is a genuine and caring human being that you just wanted to know. I have seen her lead community groups in an art installation, run programming for isolated folks during the pandemic and just really care about meeting people where they are at. So there was no question when she asked me if I would be interested in working together to create this Artist Statement. Check her out at staceywalyuchow.com
Wear Your Pink
In December of 2020, I was accepted into Telus Storyhive's Community Stories Program! I had known for a long time, that Lisa's story was one that I wanted to help tell and this felt like a great opportunity! From January -March 2021, I had the privilege to shoot and produce this documentary with the mentorship on some incredible professionals in the industry and amidst an incredible group of peers! Please enjoy!
