Calgary-based, Wild Storyteller Marie Bryce, loves to interweave story, movement and spoken word into her practice. She has an energetic and outgoing approach that engages audiences. She loves to work with people and come up with new storytelling experiences to meet a diversity of programming needs.
Marie discovered her love for storytelling while living in Scotland and completing her Masters in Outdoor Environmental and Sustainability Education. Soon after, she discovered the Scottish Storytelling Centre in Edinburgh where she immediately began taking courses, workshops and attending events. Upon returning home to Calgary Alberta, Marie threw herself into the world of storytelling and began performing at cafes, concerts, camps, facilitating workshops and hosting events. She has become a dedicated member of the local not-for-profit TALES, where she was the President from 2015-2018 and also volunteers as the website coordinator.
Marie continues to push herself within storytelling while expanding ways in which stories can be told. Currently Marie is also pursuing a diploma from Toronto Film School.
